Wolf's Corner Construction offers both interior and exterior water proofing for basements.
-Exterior water proofing involves either digging the entire exterior of the foundation or the portion of the basement most likely to see water. Once excavated the foundation is re-pointed, parged, and sealed with a special tar membrane and fiberglass coating. Piping is then installed under gravel to take the water away from the foundation.
-Interior water proofing is the easiest most cost effective way to eliminate water problems in a basement. First a trench is dug around the perimeter of the interior of the basement. The next step is to take the water and re-direct it to a sump pump pit or to an exterior drain.
Both options will prevent expensive damage due to water and flooding.
